The Falcons decided that they didn’t want to pay $4 million for a No. 3 receiver and cut wide receiver Harry Douglas.

He quickly signed with the Tennessee Titans.

Douglas, of Jonesboro, had been with the Falcons since he was selected out of Louisville in the third round of the 2008 draft. He grew close to fellow receivers Roddy White and Julio Jones.

“I talked to Rod (on Wednesday),” Douglas said. “I talked to Julio last week. We are still brothers. We still talk like normal.”

Douglas, who has a rib injury, won't play Sunday.

The Titans are on a four-game losing streak.

“We’ve been doing a good job with some things,” Douglas said. “We just have been having trouble finishing games. That’s one thing that we’ve been working hard at doing.”

The Titans started the season with a 42-point explosion in a victory over Tampa Bay. They have scored just 23 points in their past two games.

“We haven’t been executing across the board on offense,” Douglas said.
