Here are five things to know about the Falcons on Friday. They are set to face the Buffalo Bills (2-1) at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
1. Injury updates. Right tackle Ryan Schraeder remains in the concussion protocol program, but was outside taking part in bag drills and working with the training staff. The consensus among the media was that defensive end Vic Beasley did not look good trying to run. He'll need a medical miracle to be ready for Sunday.
2. Campbell on Clay. Strongside linebacker De'Vondre Campbell is no more likely to act like a grizzled veteran than he would vote for Bucky the Badger in a mascot contest, but the Falcons' linebacker has been around long enough to see a tight end or two. The second-year pro, who played at Minnesota, has learned how to study, too, and he has nothing but respect for Buffalo's Charles Clay, even though he's seen him only on videotape.
3. Practice. The Falcons will have their light Friday practice at 12:20 p.m.
4. Throwback jersey should stay in the closet. I don't know why the Falcons want to wear their Throwback jerseys given the history of losing. But in the name of jersey sales, they're bringing them back out. Seems like weird things happen when they wear them like blowing a 17-point lead and losing to San Diego last year. Not trying to jinx them, but the throwbacks should stay in the closet.
5. Where to watch, listen. Here's the broadcast information for Sunday's game which is being televised by CBS with Greg Gumbel handling the play-by-play.
