Falcons safety Keanu Neal, the team’s first-round pick and 17th overall player taken in the draft, is in danger of missing the exhibition opener against Washington at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Georgia Dome.

Neal, who suffered what Falcons coach Dan Quinn called a “trunk” injury, was limited in practice. He worked mostly with the training staff.

Also, tight end Levine Toilolo (right hand) and running back Terron Ward (ankle) may not be available. Toilolo was back at practice, but Ward was not.

“Neal, Toilolo and Ward are still kind of day-to-day,” Quinn said. “There is nothing serious that will hold them. We’ll make a decision tomorrow or maybe even the next day regarding their availability for the game. If it’s not there, then it’s quick. It’s not a long-term (injury) for any of them. We are going to wait and take all of the time that we need to see if they are able to play or not.”
