Falcons sign tight end Pascoe

Thin at the tight end position, the Falcons signed Bear Pascoe, a former starter with the New York Giants, on Thursday.

Pascoe, 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, was originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round (184th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.

He was later released and signed by the New York Giants.

He played in 66 career games and has made 32 starts.

Pascoe, more of a blocking tight end, has 38 career catches for 333 yards and one touchdown.

Last season, Pascoe, who played at Fresno State, played in all 16 games and made six starts.
