Falcons release ex-UGA FB Haynes

The Falcons released fullback Verron Haynes on Saturday, the team confirmed.
Haynes, a former standout for the Georgia Bulldogs, had made the team after being out of the NFL for a year. The Falcons will enter the season opener against Miami on Sunday with a 52-man roster. The team said it was a “football decision” to release Haynes.
