The Falcons put on the pads for the first time in training camp Monday morning and there was some major hitting. The afternoon practice, performed in shorts and helmets, was much tamer. Here's a quick look at the fourth day of training camp.

Three scenes

-- Wide receiver Roddy White had the day's strongest fashion statement with some loud red and black socks.

-- A practice hasn't gone by without cornerback Brent Grimes making a spectacular play. This time he was in coverage against White, when a pass hit White's shoulder pads and popped up in the air. Grimes swooped in, tracked the ball and made the interception.

-- The offensive linemen showed off their agility during the stretching period. Todd McClure, Harvey Dahl and Joe Hawley did a flying three-man weave. One man would dive to the ground and roll, while the other two would dive over the rolling player. Who says the big guys can't move? --

Chatter

"We left Louisiana about a week before training camp started and that was the most depressing drive I've ever been on."

Rehab

-- Defensive tackle Peria Jerry (knee), wide receiver Harry Douglas (knee) and cornerback Brian Williams (knee) were limited to one practice. Douglas is scheduled to fully participate by the end of the week. Jerry's rehab plan calls for more activity later this week with a goal of having him fully participating by next week.

-- Safety Matt Giordano (back spasms) returned to practice.

-- Tight end Colin Peek (right knee sprain) is expected to miss one to two weeks.
