Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett called out Falcons tackle Jake Matthews for a cut block that forced Bennett to leave Sunday’s game with a knee injury.

After the game Bennett told the Seattle Times that the block was a "scary, (expletive) move. Honestly, I think if you dive at someone else's legs, you're a little (expletive). "

Falcons coach Dan Quinn, who was a Seahawks assistant for two years with Bennett, said the block was clean.

“He’s a hell of a competitor,” Quinn said of Bennett. “It was not a cheap shot in any way by Jake. When it’s a handful of a player, you try to get his hands down, cut, do whatever you can. I think it’s likely (Bennett is angry) because he got banged up on the play. He’s used to it (because) Seattle cuts a lot as well.”

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Bennett's injury is not serious and that he may be able to play on Sunday.
