Falcons place Johnson on injured reserve; sign Nady

FLOWERY BRANCH — The Falcons placed offensive tackle Mike Johnson, who suffered a fractured fibula and dislocated left ankle on Tuesday, on injured reserve on Friday.

The team signed offensive tackle Jeff Nady to take his roster spot and wavied punter Sean Sellwood.

Nady is 6-foot-7 and 310 pounds. He played at Nevada and spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being released.

Nady, who was signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2013, started 36 games for the Wolfpack and was a two-time all-conference pick.
