Falcons off to slow, trail Vikings early

Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson scored on a 1-yard run to tive the Vikings a 7-0 lead over the Falcons with 3:42 left in the first quarter on Sunday.

The Falcons forced a punt, but them Matt Ryan and the offense couldn’t move the ball on three straight running plays and were forced to punt.

The Vikings put together a 14-play, 78 yard drive that took 6:30 off the clock.

Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant was called for a costly pass interfence call on Mike Wallace that moved the ball to the 1.
