FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons safety William Moore, who suffered a thigh/quadriceps injury Sunday against the Colts, did not practice Wednesday.

Coach Mike Smith said Moore worked inside the team’s practice facility with trainers.

Moore left the game against the Colts and was replaced by James Sanders, signed in August. Sanders has played seven games this season, including a start at free safety against the Eagles in September.

The Falcons had five other players who did not participate as they prepared to play the Saints on Sunday. John Abraham and Todd McClure did not practice because of what Smith called a non-injury-related maintenance day. Ray Edwards (knee) and Tony Gonzalez (back) were held out.

Although starting left tackle Sam Baker (back) did not practice with the team, he worked with team trainers and did several different drills. Baker has missed the past two games. Smith said last week that Baker is expected to miss three to four weeks with the injury.

Brent Grimes (knee) and Corey Peters (knee) were limited in practice.

More than a rivalry

The Falcons may remember the Saints’ midfield celebration at the Georgia Dome last season, but they aren’t saying much about it.

Following a 17-14 win in December, that clinched a playoff spot for the Saints, several players posed for a picture on the Falcons’ logo. Defensive end Remi Ayodele told a reporter that he urinated on the logo.

“Oh wow, that’s kind of crazy,” wide receiver Roddy White said Wednesday. “They came down here and got a ‘W.’ They can kind of do whatever they want to do. That’s kind of what happens. When we won down there, we kind of went on the field. It happens.

“We kind of did our thing when we went down there and won the game. They won, so congratulations to them.”

Clabo listed as dirty player

Offensive tackle Tyson Clabo was listed as No. 4 among the NFL’s dirtiest players, according to a survey conducted by Sporting News. He got seven votes, well behind the Lions’ Ndamukong Suh, who was first with 36 votes. As part of the midseason report, 111 players from 31 teams were polled.

Clabo called the report “silly.”

“I would say that if you try to hurt someone, that would make you a dirty player,” Clabo said. “That would be my definition. I’ve never done that so I don’t consider myself a dirty player.

“It’s a physical game. I try to be a physical player. Whatever people say, they say.”

The Steelers’ James Harrison (nine votes) and the Titans’ Cortland Finnegan (eight) were ahead of Clabo. Former Falcon offensive lineman Harvey Dahl (two), now with the Rams, was eighth.

Time change

The Falcons game against the Titans on Nov. 20 has been moved from 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., the NFL announced.

The league also announced that the Colts at Patriots game scheduled for Dec. 4 — originally scheduled for Sunday night — will move to 1 p.m. The Falcons game that week against the Texans could move into that prime television slot.
