Falcons linebacker Justin Durant left today’s game against the Texans in the first quarter with what coach Dan Quinn said is a strained elbow. Durant did not return to the game and Quinn said his status would be updated on Monday.
The Falcons signed Durant during the off season and he’s started all four games at weak side linebacker. He entered the game with a team-high 27 tackles and one forced fumble on the season.
Joplo Bartu replaced Durant in the lineup. He has started 27 games over the past two seasons.
Durant, 30, ended each of his past two seasons on injured reserve. He suffered a torn bicep during his sixth game with the Cowboys in 2014.
