Falcons center Alex Mack (elbow) heads the list of players who did not participate in practice Wednesday, according to the team’s official injury report.

“It’s too early to say,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said when asked if Mack will be ready to play against Houston on Sunday. “I think we’ll have a better assessment for you by Friday. I know he’s working ... to get right and ready.”

Mack has made 68 consecutive regular-season starts and has played all 16 games in nine of 10 seasons in the NFL. The last time that Mack missed a game was in the 2014 season, when he played in only five games with the Browns.

“This would not be a person you would ever bet against,” Quinn said. “He’s as tough as they come. I wouldn’t say at this point … just not ready to call it. He’ll do some of the walk-through pieces today. He’ll be ready to play mentally, and we’ll see if he can get there physically.”

Returner Kenjon Barner (knee), cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson (groin) and guard Jamon Brown (concussion) also did not practice were limited.
