Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson vs. Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson: Last season, Robinson leveled a hit on Jackson that drew the wrath of the NFL. Robinson initially was fined $50,000, but appealed and had it reduced to $25,000. The hit was so violent that both players left the game with concussions. Jackson had scored twice, on a 31-yard touchdown run and a 34-yard pass, before he left the game.

Falcons wide receiver Roddy White vs. Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha: White led the NFL in receptions last season and got off to a solid start in the opener with eight catches for 61 yards. White was targeted 13 times against the Bears. Asomugha, a three-time Pro Bowler, is considered one of the top cornerbacks in the league. He plays on the right side for the Eagles. Because the Falcons like to move White around, rookie Julio Jones also could see some time on Asomugha's side of the field.

Falcons running back Michael Turner vs. Eagles middle linebacker Casey Matthews: Turner was on his way to a mega-game Sunday with 100 yards on 10 carries before the Falcons fell behind and had to pass. The Eagles' run defense was mauled in the opener by the Rams. Stephen Jackson had a 47-yard run before getting hurt, and Cadillac Williams ran for 91 yards on 19 carries as the Rams averaged 6 yards per rush. Matthews, the younger brother of Green Bay's Clay Matthews III and son of former Falcon Clay Matthews Jr., is a rookie from Oregon. He had five tackles against the Rams.
