Falcons middle linebacker Deion Jones was back on the field with the first team defense on Wednesday, according to defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel.

“Getting Deion back, that was refreshing in the huddle,” Manuel said on Wednesday. “Just from that stand point. That was a huge part of it, just seeing him back. Now, he’s getting snaps in the huddle, that actually added to the confidence of the other guys. Now, Dre (Campbell) doesn’t have to do that all the time. For Foye (Oluokun) it’s not just a voice in the room, it’s a guy who’s probably standing next to you.”

Jones hasn't played since the season opener when he suffered a broken foot. He's been back practicing with the team since being activated on Nov. 12. Last week, he was still doing some work with the scout team.

Jones (foot), long snapper Josh Harris (hip), linebacker Kemal Ishmael (knee) and wide receiver Calvin Ridley (elbow) were all listed as limited in practice.

Cornerback Brian Poole (finger) fully participated in practice.

Kicker Matt Bryant (back) did not practice.
