Atlanta Falcons

QB Corner: Matt Ryan on the Saints

Jan 2, 2016

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan discusses facing New Orleans.

Q: What’s been the biggest lesson that you can take from the ebb and flow of the offense this season?

A: "I think consistency is the key. Throughout different times of the year, I don't think we were very consistent. If we can build that consistency and play the way that we're capable of, week-in and week-out, I think we've proven that we can play really good football. But we need to do it more often and we need to do it every time that we show up."

Q: Has this been your toughest year?

A: "Each year brings its own challenges. Every year is different. There are certain things that are challenges throughout every season. This season was no different. There were challenges that came up this year. There were some positive things that we did this year."

Q: What would it mean to go into the offseason with a three-game winning streak?

A: "That would be the way that we want to finish. Coach (Dan) Quinn talks all the time about finishing, finishing and finishing. Finishing games. Finishing drives. Finishing plays. And certainly finishing this season the right way. That's part of the mindset of what he believes in and I think the guys have bought into it. I think it would be good for us to finish with a really positive effort."
