The Falcons placed offensive lineman James Carpenter on injured reserve Friday and moved up Sean Harlow from the practice squad to replace him on the 53-man roster.

Carpenter, a nine-year veteran who started 11 games at guard this season, has a concussion. He has been replaced in the lineup by Wes Schweitzer.

Harlow was selected by the Falcons in the fourth round (136th overall) of the 2017 draft and has spent most of his career on the team’s practice squad. Harlow played in the Falcons’ 29-3 victory at Carolina in November.
