Tyrone Moore, Jr., a brother of Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, was shot to death early Saturday in James Island, S.C.

Charleston County Deputy Coroner Kimberly Rhoton told The Post and Courier that Moore, 21, died of a gunshot wound suffered outside of a nightclub.

Moore, White's half-brother, once lived with the Falcons receiver in the Atlanta area and attended Mill Creek High School near the Falcons' facility in Flowery Branch. White attended James Island High School before going on to Alabama-Birmingham and becoming Atlanta's first-round pick in 2005.

White could not be reached for comment Saturday. The Falcons confirmed Moore's death and offered their condolescences.

“We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy’s brother Tyrone," Falcons owner Arthur Blank said in a statement. "Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances. Roddy and his family can count on our support through this very trying time. On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family.”

According to the Post and Courier, police said they responded to a report of an altercation outside the Lake House Club on Mosquito Beach. Police said witnesses reported several gunshots erupted and Moore was struck.

Police are looking for suspects and a motive, the Post and Courier reported.
