Restricted free agent running back Brian Hill signed his fifth-round tender offer from the Falcons, the team announced on Saturday.

The team placed the offer, which is worth  $2.13 million, on Hill on March 17th.

Hill, 24, played in 12 games last season and made two starts. He rushed 78 times for 323 yards and two touchdowns. He caught 10 passes for 69 yards and one touchdown.

Hill was picked by the Falcons, 156th overall, in the 2017 draft.

After running back Ito Smith was lost to neck/concussion injuries last season, Hill became the primary backup.

If Hill had signed with another team, the Falcons would have received a fifth-round pick.
