The final field of 78 golfers is set for the 2017 Mitsubishi Electric Classic. The event to be held at TPC Sugarloaf beginning Monday through next weekend features 29 major championship winners, representing a combined 67 professional major titles. The field also includes 18 of the top-20 from the 2016 Charles Schwab Cup points standings and 17 of the top-20 from the current Charles Schwab Cup money list.

Six players from the Classic’s field competed in the Masters. All six — headlined by reigning Charles Schwab Cup champion and 2013 winner of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic, Bernhard Langer — own at least one famed green jacket. Langer is joined in Augusta by Sandy Lyle, Larry Mize, Mark O’Meara, José María Olazábal and Ian Woosnam.

The World Golf Hall of Fame will also be well represented next week for the Mitsubishi Electric Classic. Seven members of the esteemed Hall will be competing at TPC Sugarloaf, including Tom Watson, Larry Nelson, Langer, Lyle, O’Meara, Olazábal and Woosnam.

Woody Austin, the 2016 winner, also returns.
