Atlanta Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant ranked 22nd on Pro Football Focus’ list of NFL players with the highest-graded rookie seasons since 2006.
Trufant ranked behind current Falcons center Alex Mack at No. 21— who was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2009— and former Georgia running back Todd Gurley at No. 10. Gurley was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams, then the St. Louis Rams, in 2015.
Trufant, who was drafted 22nd overall out of Washington by the Falcons in the 2013 NFL Draft, started all 16 games as a rookie and recorded 55 tackles, two interceptions, 17 deflected passes, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
