Falcons' backup quarterback Matt Schaub was listed No. 26 on Sports Illustrated's ranking of the NFL's 32 backup QB situations.

Sports Illustrated’s Eric Single referred to Schaub as a “patron saint” for his 13 years at the backup role and lists Schaub as one of the “veterans who worked their way into plum jobs.”

Schaub played in four games in 2016, throwing 1-for-3 for 16 yards.
