For his 321 passing yards, one touchdown performance against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has been nominated as one of Fed Ex's Air and Ground Players of the Week.
Ryan, nominated for the Air Player of the Week, led the Falcons to a 23-17 win over the Bears at Solider Field in Sunday’s regular-season opener. Ryan is nominated alongside Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith and Detroit Lions quarterback Matt Stafford.
The FedEx Ground Player of the Week nominees are the Kansas City Chiefs’ Kareem Hunt, Buffalo Bills’ LeSean McCoy and Jacksonville Jaguars’ Leonard Fournette.
Fans can vote on the winners of the Week 1 honor on NFL.com. Voting remains open until Thursday at 3 p.m.
The Air and Ground player of the Week will each receive a donation of $2,000 made in their name to the USO through FedEx Cares.
The Falcons play the Green Bay Packers for the team’s home opener at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday at 8:30 p.m.
