After Georgia’s run to the national championship game, No. 1 rated recruiting class and annihilation of rival Florida this past season, one Gators’ fan expressed his worry to new head coach Dan Mullen.

During a Q&A session with fans, season-ticket holders, boosters and Alumni Association members on Wednesday, Mullen fielded a question about how the Gators can keep up with the recent success of the Bulldogs.

"Listen, winning one SEC Championship Game doesn't make you a dominant program, you know what I'm saying?" Mullen said with a laugh. "In two of the last three years, we've been to the SEC Championship Game. So even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while."

The answer, which drew a loud applause from fans was described as “light-hearted” in the report. Florida lost to Georgia 42-7 this past season, but the Gators have won 21 of the last 28 games against the Bulldogs.
