Zenon, White, Stroebel honored by team

Nov 11, 2014

Georgia Tech A-back Tony Zenon (offense), cornerback D.J. White (defense) and long snapper Trevor Stroebel (special teams) were named the team’s players of the week for their contributions to the Yellow Jackets’ 56-23 win over N.C. State Saturday.

Zenon had six carries for 54 yards and a standout blocking game on the perimeter. White had seven tackles, two pass breakups and, most notably, the first interception return for a touchdown of his career, a 38-yard score. Stroebel snapped on all of Tech’s point-after tries and a field-goal try that was wiped out by a penalty in which he was plowed over by an N.C. State defender.

“They’re the most underappreciated people in the world until they snap a bad one,” coach Paul Johnson said.
