Georgia basketball player J.J. Frazier was arrested and jailed on minor traffic charges Sunday night.

Frazier, a freshman point guard from Glennville, was pulled over by Athens-Clarke County police for running a stop sign Sunday evening. During the stop police discovered he does not have a valid driver’s license. Frazier was then taken to Athens-Clarke County Jail as required by Georgia law. He was booked at 10:27 p.m. and released on a $1,000 bond three hours later.

The Bulldogs’ season ended on Saturday when they lost to Louisiana Tech 79-71 in the second round of the NIT. Frazier was the leading scorer in that game with 15 points. He averaged 3.7 points while playing in 30 of 33 games this past season.

UGA does not typically suspend student-athletes for traffic offenses.
