Georgia Tech will learn its updated College Football Playoff ranking Tuesday night. The Yellow Jackets were ranked No. 16 last Tuesday and will move up after their 30-24 overtime win over Georgia.

If the CFP selection committee places the Jackets in the top 10, it would be their highest ranking since they were slotted No. 9 following their ACC title-game win over Clemson in 2009. The positioning will be important as it may determine what, if any chance, Tech has of somehow sneaking into the CFP four-team playoff if the Jackets can upset Florida State Saturday in the ACC title game Saturday in Charlotte, N.C.
