Georgia practiced for more than two hours Tuesday in sweltering heat as the Bulldogs attempted to sweat out the pain from this past Saturday’s loss to South Carolina.

The Bulldogs welcomed back wide receiver Justin Scott-Wesley to Woodruff Practice Fields. Though coach Mark Richt labeled the junior wideout “very doubtful” for this Saturday’s game against Troy, Scott-Wesley appeared to be moving full speed with the rest of the receivers as they went through “pass skeleton” drills with the quarterbacks early in practice.

Scott-Wesley, who had 16 catches for 311 yards and two touchdowns in just four games last season, had come back from an ACL reconstruction in preseason camp before suffering an ankle injury a week before the opener against Clemson. He has missed the first two games of the season.

Meanwhile, fellow wideouts Malcolm Mitchell (knee) and Jonathon Rumph (hamstring) were not at practice.

Also, Nick Chubb didn’t much time recuperate after undergoing thumb surgery on Monday. The freshman tailback was in full pads riding an exercise bike next to practice fields under the watchful eye of strengh and conditioning coach John Thomas.

Tackle Kolton Houston, who revealed he played this past Saturday with an injured ankle, was practicing without any apparent limitations.
