Premium seat tickets for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta, one of six New Year’s Eve games selected to host the new College Football Playoff, go on sale today.
The game at the Georgia Dome will the be lead of the College Football Playoffs with a 12:30 p.m. start Dec. 31. The matchup of two of the nation’s top-ranked teams will be announced Sunday, Dec. 7.
“We’re honored to be in the leadoff spot and to be the first of the New Year’s Six Bowls to host a bowl game in the new College Football Playoff era,” Gary Stokan, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl president and CEO, said in a press release. “The future of our game is here. Bigger games. Better teams. Starting now.”
The earlier game start is a departure for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, which has held a prime time kickoff since 2004.
Tickets for the 2014 game will be available online at Chick-fil-APeachBowl.com/tickets, beginning Sept. 29. This is the first time in 17 years that premium lower-level tickets will be made available for public sale. Ticket prices range from $110 to $235 per seat.
The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl - the ninth-oldest bowl game in the country - will host its first national semifinal game in 2016.
