The Morehouse Maroon Tigers had six players named to the preseason All-SIAC first and second teams Tuesday during the conference’s media day at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
Offensive lineman Jean Cyriaque and defensive lineman Antonio Johnson were named to the first team while four Maroon Tigers - tight end Ryan Edwards, wide receiver Amyr Smith, defensive lineman Bundrea Conway and defensive back Macaiah Page - were named to the second team.
Clark Atlanta had four players on the second team - wide receiver Johnathon Sanders, offensive lineman Jah-Mai Davidson, defensive back Quantavious Singletary and kicker Carlos Saldana.
Morehouse and Clark Atlanta were picked to finish fourth and fifth, respectively, in the East Division. Albany State is the preseason pick to win the East followed by Benedict and Fort Valley State.
Tuskegee is the preseason pick in the West followed by Miles, Kentucky State, Central State and Lane.
