Johnson leaving extension negotitation to agent

Dec 3, 2014

Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson said Tuesday that he had “no idea” about the contract extension offer that his agent Jack Reale received from athletic director Mike Bobinski on Monday, as reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“My job is to try to win football games,” Johnson said. “I think (Reale) got the first thing (Monday), so he’ll go over it and I’m sure he’ll make his recommendation to me and then we’ll go from there. That’s all I know about it. I have way more to do this week than that. That’s why guys are paid to handle that.”

Johnson has two years remaining on his contract after this season.
