Georgia Tech will open next basketball season against an ACC foe – and on the ACC Network that will launch in August.

The Yellow Jackets will face North Carolina State in Raleigh on Nov. 5, one of two games on the ACC Network that night. (Louisville at Miami is the other.)

Next season, the first in the ACC’s new format of 20 conference games, will feature seven conference games to start the season. Along with the two games Nov. 5, the next night Notre Dame plays at North Carolina and Virginia at Syracuse on the ACC Network.

The three other ACC vs. ACC matchups on those days are to be televised on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. They are Virginia Tech at Clemson (Nov. 5), Wake Forest at Boston College (Nov. 6) and Florida State at Pitt (Nov. 6).

Tech's football team will play Clemson on Aug. 29 in the first football game on the ACC Network, which is scheduled to launch Aug. 22.
