Georgia teams’ APR performance commended
Georgia’s men’s golf, women’s swimming and gymnastics teams earned commendation from the NCAA for having Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores in the top 10 percent of their sport.
It’s the second year in a row that those three teams were lauded for their APR performance, which tracks eligibility, retention and graduation.
For coach Chris Haack’s golf team, which earned a No. 1 seed in the San Antonio, Texas, NCAA regional on Monday, it’s the fourth consecutive year that it has earned recognition from the NCAA.
It’s the third year in a row for the gymnastics team, which this season finished fifth at the NCAA championships, its best placement since 2009.
The women’s swimming team, which has won back-to-back national championships and six overall, was recognized for the second consecutive year.
