Can Drew Little keep it going? The Georgia State quarterback had a career game Saturday, throwing for 414 yards (though many came when the game was out of hand). His string of passes without an interception now stands at 187. South Alabama's defense, though, has 21 sacks and 10 interceptions and has allowed opponents to complete only 46.5 percent of their passes.
Call to action for defense. Old Dominion pummeled Georgia State's interior defense on its way to 229 rushing yards, the third time an opponent has reached 200 yards this season. The Jaguars undoubtedly will test defensive coordinator John Thompson's 3-4 scheme and see if nose guards Khiry Karriem and Dion Peary can hold the point of attack.
Shorten the field. After delivering four turnovers in each of the past three games, the Panthers had none against Old Dominion, giving the Monarchs a huge advantage in their eventual 34-20 win. All but one of Georgia State's 15 possessions started inside their 40-yard line. Special teams and takeaways will have to tilt the field.
