Georgia State’s men’s golf team won the Sun Belt Conference on Wednesday.

The Panthers shot a final-round 1-under 287 to finish the tournament at 1-under and edge South Alabama by one stroke and Texas-Arlington by two strokes in Saucier, Miss.

Damon Stephenson made a birdie putt on the 18th hole in the second-to-last group to provide the winning margin. He was named to the all-conference team along with teammate J.J. Grey.

This is the Panthers’ seventh conference championship and first in the Sun Belt.

The win secures a spot in an NCAA regional, which will be held May 15-17.

Signee: James Traylor signed with Georgia State's football team, according to Panthertalk.com.

Traylor is 6-2, 217-pound athlete from Columbus High School.
