The Georgia State men’s basketball team will play at Auburn on Nov. 14 in the Cancun Challenge.
The Panthers will follow that with a game at Purdue on Nov. 18 before playing NJIT on Nov. 22 in Mexico.
The event’s third-place and championship games will be played Nov. 23 at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.
The Panthers went 16-14 last season and were beaten in the first round of the Sun Belt tournament in New Orleans.
The team returns leading scorer Jeremy Hollowell, shooting guards Isaiah Williams and Isaiah Dennis, point guard Austin Donaldson, small forward Jeff Thomas, forwards Jordan Session and Malik Benlevi. The team will also welcome transfer Willie Clayton from Charlotte, Devin Mitchell from Alabama, Jeremiah Davis from Ball State and freshmen Chris Clerkley and D’Marcus Simonds.
