Georgia State quarterback Nick Arbuckle was named the Sun Belt Conference offensive player of the week on Monday.
Arbuckle passed for a school record 471 yards in leading the Panthers to a 41-19 victory at Texas State last week. He completed 23 of 34 passes to earn the honor for the second time this season.
Georgia State scored the most points ever under coach Trent Miles and set a program record for total yards (643).
Arbuckle, a senior, leads the conference in passing (348.3 yards per game) and total offense (341.3 yards per game).
With 149 more passing yards, he will set the school’s single-season record for passing that he established last season (3,283 yards).
Georgia State will host South Alabama on Saturday at the Georgia Dome.
