Who: Florida
When: 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Jacksonville
TV; radio: CBS; 750 AM, 95.5 FM
Record: 4-3, 2-3 SEC
Last time played: Oct. 30, 2010, when Florida defeated Georgia 34-31 in the first overtime game in the history of the series.
Florida on offense: Senior quarterback John Brantley is probable for the game after missing the past two games with a high ankle sprain. Florida made that determination on Monday. Brantley's backups are true freshmen Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel. Running backs Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey are explosive, big-play threats, with career rushing averages of 7.2 and 6.4 yards per carry, respectively.
Florida on defense: Uncharacteristically, the Gators haven't forced a turnover in their past three games. But they rank third in the SEC and 16th nationally in scoring defense, allowing 18.9 points per game, and fifth in the SEC and 11th nationally in total defense, allowing 289.1 yards per game (120.7 rushing and 168.4 passing).
Florida on special teams: Placekicker Caleb Sturgis, who missed the Georgia game and seven others last year because of a back injury, is healthy and 15-for-16 on field-goal attempts this season. Ray Guy Award winner Chas Henry, the punter who filled in for Sturgis and kicked the game-winning field goal against Georgia last year, has moved on to the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles. Florida's return game will test Georgia's struggling kickoff and punt coverage units.
What you should know: Florida is on a three-game losing streak, falling 38-10 to Alabama, 41-11 to LSU and 17-6 to Auburn, after starting the season with four consecutive victories. This is the second year in a row that Florida enters the Georgia game on a three-game slide. But the Gators have won 18 of their past 21 games against Georgia, including eight of 10 since Mark Richt became UGA's coach and each of the past three.
Coach: Will Muschamp, who played safety for Georgia from 1991-94, is in his first season as a head coach and his first season at Florida. Muschamp, 40, previously coached at Texas, Auburn, the NFL's Miami Dolphins, LSU, Valdosta State, Eastern Kentucky and West Georgia.
