WWE suspended former Georgia Tech defensive tackle Joe Anoai for 30 days Tuesday.

The suspension, effective immediately, was for violating the company’s “talent wellness policy,” according to a news release issued by WWE.

Anoai wrestles for WWE using the name Roman Reigns.

In a tweet, Anoai wrote, “I apologize to my family, friends and fans for my mistake in violating WWE’s wellness policy. No excuses. I own it.”

Anoai, 31, played at Tech from 2003-06. He was a three-year starter and a first-team All-ACC selection as a senior in 2006. He was a co-captain with Calvin Johnson and Reggie Ball as a senior.
