Former Georgia offensive lineman Matt Stinchcomb has signed a multi-year contract to join the new SEC Network as a game analyst.
The network — a partnership between the SEC and ESPN — is scheduled to launch Aug. 14.
Former Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware, who played quarterback at Houston, also has joined the new network as a game analyst.
Stinchcomb’s TV experience includes working on studio coverage for syndicated SEC games and ESPNU games since 2009. Ware has covered college football at ESPN for 10 years and has served as an SEC game analyst for the past five.
The SEC Network will televise SEC content around the clock throughout the year. It will televise three football games each Saturday during the season.
As previously announced, one game each Saturday will be handled by play-by-play voice Brent Musburger and analyst Jesse Palmer (with former Georgia volleyball and basketball player Maria Taylor as sideline reporter). The booth pairings on the other games will be Ware with play-by-play broadcaster Dave Neal, and Stinchcomb with play-by-play man Tom Hart, it was announced Monday. Both Neal and Hart are Atlanta residents.
The new network, which said it has finalized its commentating team, also announced that Tony Barnhart and Kaylee Hartung have joined the lineup.
Barnhart, a long-time college-football reporter with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, ESPN and CBS, will contribute to the SEC Network’s studio programming. Hartung, with ESPN and Texas’ Longhorn Network since 2012, will be part of SEC Nation, the network’s traveling pregame show.
