Dukes back, Delic out for Georgia State

June 6, 2014

Georgia State got one football player back and lost one on Friday.

Coach Trent Miles said on Friday that cornerback Bruce Dukes has been cleared by doctors to resume football-related activities. He underwent wrist surgery in the spring. Dukes, 5-10, 187 pounds, is expected to challenge for a starting spot. He played at Sandy Creek High School before enrolling at Central Florida. He transferred to Georgia State last year.

Miles also said defensive tackle Nermin Delic won’t rejoin the team. Delic transferred from Kentucky in 2012. He sat out that fall per the NCAA’s transfer rules. He played in three games last year before an injury sidelined him.
