Kennesaw State kicker Justin Thompson and quarterback Trey White received honors from the Big South Conference on Monday.
White was named the offensive player of the week after rushing for 170 yards in last week’s 12-7 win over Gardner-Webb. He ran the ball 34 times, averaging five yards a carry. He also completed 9-of-17 passes for 114 yards.
Thompson hit field goals of 30, 33, 26 and 31yards. The four field goals tied a Big South single-game record. Thompson also tied the record against Shorter.
The Owls (5-1, 1-0) will play at Liberty on Saturday.
