The Kennesaw State Owls will begin their defense of the Big South championship on Aug. 31 against Point University at Fifth Third Bank Stadium, according to the team’s schedule released Monday.

The football squad, in its fifth year, will play a program-high seven conference games, including four at home.

First-time head coach Brian Bohannon has led the Owls to the league title in 2017 and 2018.

The team will have its bye on Oct. 5.

The Owls enter the 2019 season with a 22-4 all-time record at Fifth Third Bank Stadium and have put together 11-game winning streaks in each of the last two seasons. In the last two years, KSU has 23 total wins, consecutive FCS Playoffs quarterfinal appearances and 11 All-America selections.
