Here are five things to know about the Bulldogs, as they prepare for in-state rival Georgia Tech:

1. Despite dropping two of the last three meetings, Georgia leads the all-time series against Georgia Tech, 65-39-5. The Bulldogs don’t count two Yellow Jacket wins in 1943 and 1944 due to player shuffling during World War II.

2. The Bulldogs love playing in Atlanta, coach Kirby Smart said. The results support that: Georgia has won the last eight in Atlanta dating back to 2001.

3. Georgia is pursuing its 11th regular season win. Its first time reaching that mark came in 2002, when it pummeled the Yellow Jackets, 51-7. That’s still the highest-scoring performance the Bulldogs have posted against Georgia Tech.

4. The Governor’s Cup Trophy has been awarded to the winner of Georgia-Georgia Tech since 1995. The Bulldogs are 16-6 in the series since.

5. Could we see a shootout? Georgia is averaging 35.3 points per game, while Georgia Tech sits at 30.2 points per game. Turnovers are often the difference - UGA has an advantage there, with a plus-2 differential against Georgia Tech’s minus-4.
