Georgia and South Carolina have been unexpectedly pass-heavy.

UGA quarterback Jake Fromm is 11-for-15 with 126 yards and the go-ahead touchdown. He found Javon Wims in the corner of the end zone, and after a review the score became official.

One of Fromm’s incompletions came on a hail mary to end the half. He’s played exceptionally well, with the help of 124 yards on the ground from his running backs.

South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley has kept his team in the game despite little help from a run game or offensive line.

Bentley is 11-of-17 for 139 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

The touchdown came on a review as well, when Bryan Edwards make a phenomenal corner catch. The interception came on the last drive of the half when Bentley was hit while throwing. UGA got the ball back with four seconds left and no damage was done.

Bentley will have to play even better if the Gamecocks are going to escape with an upset, given the discrepancy in the teams’ rushing games.
