If the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics trade falls through, the Milwaukee Bucks are waiting in the wings.

The Bucks have offered point guard Malcolm Brogdon and small forward Khris Middleton for Cavaliers Kyrie Irving, according to a report by ESPN’s Zach Lowe.

Brogdon, the Rookie of the Year, graduated from Greater Atlanta Christian before play at the University of Virginia.

On Aug. 22, the Cavaliers agreed to trade Irving to the Celtics for point guard Isaiah Thomas, small forward Jae Crowder, center Ante Žižić and the Brooklyn Nets' 2018 first-round NBA Draft pick.

Since news of the trade broke, the trade has stalled because of concerns about Thomas’ health. Last season, Thomas suffered a labrum injury in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavaliers.

"I am not damaged," Thomas said, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. "I'll be back, and I'll be the same player."

Cleveland and Boston spoke on Tuesday in an attempt to work find a solution to the trade, according to Wojnarowski. The Cavaliers are reportedly seeking one of the Celtics' first or second-round NBA Draft picks as compensation.
