In the ninth inning of Tuesday’s game against the Washington Nationals, Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson hit a double which scored the Braves’ only run of the game.

Swanson hit the ball to deep left field, scoring Ozzie Albies and advancing Nick Markakis to third base.

Swanson was 2-of-4 with one RBI and one strikeout in the Braves’ 4-1 loss to the Nationals.

The Braves (6-5) will play the third of three games at the Nationals Wednesday at 1:05 p.m.

Plenty of attention will again be focused on Dansby Swanson, only this time it’ll be to see whether the Braves shorstop can bounce back from a disappointing rookie season and remain a big part of the team’s future plans. (Curtis Compton/ccompton@ajc.com)
