How the winning run scored: Two run shots in the fourth by Ernesto Mejia (24) and Rusty Ryal (2), and a solo homer by Brian Friday (1) accounted for all the Braves runs.

At the plate: Entering Sunday's game Braves first baseman Mejia led or was among the IL leaders in several categories, among them hits (134), RBI (83), total bases (235) and extra base hits (T1, 54), home runs (3rd, 23) and batting average (4th, .304).

On the mound: There were a lot of familiar faces. Tommy Hanson got the win in a rehab start, with three hits, two walks and five strikeouts in five scoreless innings. Peter Moylan gave up three hits and the Bats' only runs in one inning of relief. Former Brave Todd Redmond got the loss.

Up next for Gwinnett: Braves seek their third win in the four game series with Randall Delgado pitching in the 7:05 start at Coolray Field.
