The Hawks had no update on the condition or status of Tim Hardaway Jr. as of Thursday afternoon. The reserve shooting guard was injured and left Wednesday’s regular-season finale against the Wizards in the third quarter and was unable to return. The injury was announced as a right hamstring strain.

Following the game, Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer mentioned the injury possibly involved the groin. Hardaway grimaced and walked with a pronounced limp back to the locker room following the injury.

The Hawks open their NBA playoff first-round series against the Celtics on Saturday. The team did not practice on Thursday, instead opting for a treatment and recovery day. An update could be available Friday.

Hardaway had 13 points and made all three 3-point attempts before leaving with less than a minute to go in the third quarter. He has averaged 6.4 points in 16.9 minutes in his 51 games as his role in the rotation has increased in the second half of the season.
