Hawks rookie Adreian Payne had 18 points and seven rebounds for Austin in a 103-102 loss to Bakersfield in an NBA Development League assignment game Thursday.

Payne was 8 of 13 from the field, including a 3-pointer, in 29 minutes off the bench. The forward/center also had two steals, two blocks, two turnovers and one assist.

Payne is scheduled to play Friday as the two teams meet again.
