Lamar Patterson is racking up the frequent flyer miles.

The Hawks rookie guard/forward was reassigned to the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League on Wednesday after a one-day stay in Atlanta. Patterson will play in the deciding Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the Los Angeles D-Fenders Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. (ET) in Austin.

Patterson has been active for both the Hawks’ Eastern Conference first-round NBA playoff series games against the Celtics. He played 1:19 of Tuesday’s 89-72 win in Game 2 and had two rebounds and an assist.

Patterson has also played in both games of the D-League conference finals. The winner of Wednesday’s game advances to the D-League Finals against the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Hawks rookie center Edy Tavares is also on assignment with the Austin Spurs.
